"My obsession, my addiction is eating me away on the inside...I try so hard to control this urge...this feeling, this desire for more...I feel it taking over, like a disease which has no cure...there is hope for me yet as I slowly but surely starve my hunger and control this desire...to want no more, no more..."

Is clutter cramping your style?

Have you ever been frustrated by the sight of ‘stuff’? STUFF EVERYWHERE??? I mean how did all this stuff get here? Well I am queen bee when it comes to have my room littered with stuff. I am always cleaning up, it’s like a job…sigh. Having your space invaded by clutter can also really affect you. Clutter and a messy space makes you feel tired, like it drains your energy or something, it gets you lazy. And I’m positive that it doesn’t help with your weight too (did someone say inactivity?). It also keeps you back like being stuck in a rut or for better words stuck in a time zone. Would you invite someone into your messy home?…thought so. I don’t know about you but when my room is a total disaster I never know what to do, where to begin, where to sleep, lol (um can anyone tell me where I put my mattress?). Yip it makes me a confused mess.

Anyway I have been trying to discipline myself into keeping my space clean and stuff free. I have listed a couple tips that can help you do so if you need to: 1. Don’t do everything all at once. Select an area to do one at a time, and make the time to do it.

2. If you think cleaning up is going to take a lot of time, set a timed goal. If you can’t do it all at once, no worries, just stay committed. Two minutes couldn’t hurt can it?

3. Sometimes you could never place a item and call it its home so it ends up being clutter. Find a place of belonging for all your items and assign them. This way you will have an idea where something will go and help you keep organized. It would help to always keep any flat surface clear, such as kitchen counters, dining tables, etc. Guilty as charged for always resting my handbags on the table.

4. Don’t keep anything you have not used in a while, give it away, it may be more useful in someone else’s hands. I know, I know it is hard to part with that first LBD you ever bought but I mean it is ooooolllllddddddd and has fluff. Take pictures of it rather….hmmm idea! Make a scrap book when you clean out! It’ll make cleaning so much more fun! Have a friend help too!

5. Storage storage storage! Get boxes, drawers, cubes, containers and label them. Use different colours, decoupage them or have them themed with your room. Once you have storage it will be easier to give items a home and be organized.

6. Clean as you see something out of place. Something as little as putting the keys on the rack if you see it on the table goes a long way. You get the drift right?

Last but not least…..always put your stuff away after you have used it. This way your clutter can never be too overwhelming.

There are so much more ideas on my mind but I guess I can tell you all about them another time. I hope this helps you guys out there to manage your clutter/stuff and helps your get healthier too. Until next time…TOODLES!

P.S. Don’t forget Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Random

As someone with loads of passion, I feel I need to express my thoughts on a wide range of topics. These topics may include everyday life, animals, the environment, sustainable living, fashion, spirituality, crafts, gardening, technology, The Dog Whisperer, etc.

Nothing is restricted when it comes to my thoughts. One thing I must learn according to one of my very close friends (Adanna a big up! lol ;p), is how to be politically correct since the things I say or my views are very raw and harsh which may offend some. So we’ll see how it goes.

Bye for now. =)
